Nothing for a while and then two in so many days...........Plitvice National Park

While travelling in Europe we also visited Plitvice National Park in Croatia. 16 lakes on different levels are inter connect by many waterfalls. A truly magical spot!

Wahrend unserer Europa Reise besuchten wir auch Plitvice National Park im Karstgebirge von Croatien gelegen. 16 Seen sind verbunden durch unzeahlige Wasserfaelle. Ein wunderschoenes Gebiet!

I am a bit slack when it comes to posting about pottery, I know, sorry! Now after the Christmas sales are over I need to re-stock a bit and  have also tried a few new things, shall see how they sell at our future market stalls. The pieces have been decorated before the first firing and now need to dipped in a clear glaze and fired once more.

Ich vergesse immer wieder Bilder von meiner Toepferei in meinen Blog zu stellen, Diesmal hat es geklappt dass ich die Kamera schnappte und den neusten Batch fotografierte.
Ich muss einiges was vor Weihnachten verkauft wurde wieder aufstocken und habe zusaetzlich ein paar neue Sachen gemacht. Mal schauen wie sie verkaufen. Alle Stuecke sind vor dem ersten Brand dekoriert worden und werden nun noch in einer klaren Glasur gedunkt. Anschliessend wird ein weiteres Mal gebrannt.  


  

Mountain high....

During our visit to Europe we also visited some mountains and passes in Switzerland.
One of the highlights was a trip to the Jungfrau Joch which is located in the Bernese Oberland and lies at 3500m altitude. Absolutely fabulous!!!!

Waehrend unserer Europa Aufenthalts besuchten wir unter anderem auch das Jungfrau Joch. Im Berner Oberland gelegen ist es auf 3500 m Hoehe. Absolut fantastisch und einer der Hoehepunkte unserer Reise.

Some upcycling for summer

My girlfriend gave me this cotton/linen dress several years ago and I only wore it once as it was. Now I have upcycled it into something more wearable for our warmer climate. As it often happens when I remake something there was alot of "mucking" about until I was happy with the result. 

Meine Freundin gab mir dieses Baumwolle/Leinen Kleid vor mehreren Jahren. Ich habe es nur einmal im Original Zustand getragen weil es  mir "zuviel" war mit Kragen, Epauletten und mehrere  Taschen. Nun ist alles ueberfluessige weg und ich habe ein Kleid gerade richtig fuer den Sommer der schon  fast da ist mehreren Tagen um die 30 Grad!

I am back.....

After more than 3 months I am finally back to blogging.
Our trip through Europe was great, we saw and experienced so much, went far and wide and the best.....we had fantastic weather.  As a matter of fact it was 36/38 degrees while we traveled through southern France and Italy. Hot enough I must say. The first rain we experienced was in Croatia at the Plitvice Lakes after 3 weeks, then a few more rainy days towards the end of our stay in Switzerland. In the next couple of  blogs I will provide a some fotos I made along the way.  As always filming was more our thing but until some footage is ready it will take a good while! We have been camping quite a bit but free camping was difficult. We usually stopped in campgrounds though.  
I have already replanted my veggie patch, and now I am making some pottery for the christmas sales. Sometimes it feels as if we have not been away at all. I am sure you all know the feeling!

That is Tourette sur Loup, a medieval hill town in the mountains near Nice.



Das ist Tourette sur Loup ein kleiner Ort aus dem Mittelalter in den Bergen in der Naehe von Nizza.

Nach ueber 3 Monaten Abwesenheit bin ich nun wieder zu Hause und wieder am bloggen. Waehrend unserer Reise durch Europa haben wir viel erlebt und gesehen und vor allem hatten wir tolles Wetter! Die ersten drei Wochen jeden Tag 36/38 Grad, gerade heiss genug! Der erste Regen kam im Plitvice National Park und dann hatten wir gegen Schluss der Ferien noch ein paar nasse Tage in der Schweiz. Unser kleines Zelt kam auch mit und wir uebernachteten meistens auf Camping Plaetzen. Ich werde auch in den naechsten paar Blogs enoch einige Fotos zeigen in ermangelung von Naehprojekten! Wie immer haben wir hauptsaechlich gefilmt aber bis da was fertig ist dauert es noch eine Weile. 
Hier habe ich schon mein kleines Gemuesegaertli bepflanzt und alles waechst wie wild, natuerlich auch das Unkraut. Momenatn bin ich dran noch etwas Toepferei fuer die Weihnachtsverkaeufe zu machen.
